Grade I listed Ocean Studios offers a unique setting for your event or private function. Located in the historic Royal William Yard we can provide a bespoke personal service tailored to your requirements.
We have a range of spaces available to hire depending on the type of event you are looking to host and our experienced and imaginative Events Team will work diligently to help deliver your event.
Why not take advantage of our onsite artisan Bakehouse Café catering for your event? We offer a variety of menus using locally sourced ingredients, including breakfast, canape and buffet lunch options.
Ease your social conscience; Ocean Studios is a Social Enterprise; any room hire income directly supports our community and educational projects. All our spaces offer free WIFI and use of AV equipment. Additional costs may incur for advanced tech.
Our largest space which can seat up to 120 guests or delegates, works well for conferences, parties, meetings and much more. Situated on the 1st floor with full disabled access the room offers a picturesque view over the Royal William Yard harbour. The adjacent Emerge space acts as the perfect break out option for the Event Space.

Looking for a creative space for workshops? Our Emerge space is a beautiful, inspiring setting for skill sharing and exploring creative practice. With 80 optional theatre style seats, there is the potential for workshops, exhibitions and forums. We can also offer heavily discounted room hire rates as long as the activity is creative.
£100 + VAT 9am-5pm
£50 + VAT 9am–12.30pm or 1.30pm–5pm
Hours after 5pm are charged at the same hourly rate as our standard Emerge rates.

Located on the Ground Floor our café area is a beautiful well-lit backdrop for a range of events, such as informal breakfast meetings, networking events and parties. Hire of this space is restricted by our café opening hours.
Seats up to 80 theatre style.
£65 + VAT per hour, this only applies after the café has closed.
Further costs will apply should the event require the café to be open.
This fee does not apply for weddings.
