Jane is a ceramicist who works primarily in white earthenware clay , slipcasting and handbuilding her work. She brushes coloured underglazes onto the surface of the pieces then uses the technique of Sgrafitto ( scoring through the coloured layer into the clay body beneath ) to produce highly decorative mandala like designs . Jane will be at the makers table , demonstrating this technique and answering questions about her ceramic processes whilst she works .

Ocean Studios Resident Susie Abel and a group of friends are crocheting, Knitting, a daisy chain to raise money and awareness for a little girl called daisy who has mitochondrial disease.
